Karen is a biomarkers and genetics expert. With years of drug development experience, having worked previously at Janssen Pharmaceuticals and other innovative biotechs, she is dedicated to developing new tools to tackle challenges in the rare disease space. 

Tarik has a broad bio-pharmaceuticals and bioinformatics background coupled with years of experience in systems management and automation. He bridges biological research with computer sciences to support genetic and epidemiological analysis at-scale. 

Mathijs is focused on bio-curation, with extensive experience in clinical data management and quality systems.  He supports database architecture and integration.

Irisa has a keen interest in strategy and communications, she has a background in Microbiology and Bioethics. Irisa has worked for several years in the field of scientific communications and medical editing.

Matthijs combines a strong background in Computational Biology and Data Science with a deep interest in building curated databases and data‑driven applications at GeneScape. His study in nanobiology sparked a lasting fascination with how data and AI can tackle complex scientific challenges. Curious, positive, and always eager to learn, he brings technical insight and a genuine enthusiasm for building impactful tools that translate biological questions into computational solutions.
